Find a guided snowshoe through the wintery wonderland of a sequoia grove.

Things to know about my winter tour offerings:

  • The snowiest months for Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks are in January, February, and March.

  • The National Park will require you to have tire chains in your vehicle and to put them on when instructed. For more information nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/winter_driving

  • Plan on an extra hour of road delays if you are driving from Three Rivers.

  • Winter travel between the parks can be difficult. The 1 hour summer route from Lodgepole to Grant Grove is usually closed. Resulting in a 2.5 hour detour to get between the two locations.

  • Snowshoes will be provided for the duration of the tour when snow conditions are sufficient.

  • For all other winter travel, it is recommended that you wear ice traction on your winter boots. More information on this is available here.

  • Conditions will be cold and wet. Winter/ waterproof boots, jackets, and snow pants are highly recommended on our tours. (Uggs are slippers not boots)
